i just dont like my jobs cuz they pay 2 low for me to live on my own.i make less than 35k. if i made 35k or more i would stay. employers see me as unstable cuz they dont understand i dont want to live poor.

As for me, i'm hispanic, that's one. But i'm also not very OUTGOING, and social.. and i have felt they discriminate me with that too.. Where's the EQUAL OPPORTUNITY? nothing equal.. they just want social, outgoing people with speaking skills. just bunch of lies, also if it was equal... why did they throw me out last job because i told them i have an ear problem.. anyone want to tell me what Equal means when they even if they don't discriminate in racial terms, they discriminate your personality, or your disability

Look I am in school and am in a EMT-Basic class. In the class I have to do clinicals at the Hospital and it is required. My boss knows this and also knows that I signed up for this clinical a month ago and it is mandatory for me to go. But as usual she schedualed me to work anyways tomarrow. I DID tell her that I could not come in tomarrow but she said that I still need to come in regardless of what I need to do.

So I am calling in tomarrow and I need a serious excuse for not being there. So if anyone has any ideas please, please let me know.

Due to anxiety, it has been years since I've worked, and I've been receiving disability. I'd like to know, from those of you who are supervisors, employers, and such, if you would hire an adult well past their 20's, who has not worked in years for a job which didn't require much experience if they seemed like a decent person on the interview.

Or would you be reluctant to hire them since they've been unemployed so long, and has almost little to no work experience?

For the past 2 years, I have known that I wanted to pursue music education for a career. Now I have realized that teaching isn't something that I want to do with my life, but I still want music to be a factor in it. Does anyone know anything else that will be a worthwhile career that involves music? I am usually considered a good learner, and I recently received a 29 on my ACT. I've worked in this office longer than any of the others. I've trained some of them. I'm not a supervisor. But the new supervisor did hire her "friends". We all get along, no fighting. But I'm kept out of "the loops". They talk and laugh and share personal life stuff and do not include me. They don't have to, it's work not home life. But one got married, they were all invited except me. She brought in pictures and the sat around and shared them, except me. I've worked for the same company for 26 years, never experienced this before. Honestly, I'm not weird, I'm easy to get along with, help whenever I can, but this is awful. Should I quit and just get another position? 26 years down the drain. Why? Do you think, they want to hire another "friend"? What do you think? Others have noticed too, its not just me.
