im looking for a way to make money but still spend time with kids. was looking for a home based business. i saw an info-commercial on selling SMC products. if u know any info on it please let me know. or if u have even heard of it. thanks

SMC is a joke. I looked into it and laughed. If you want to make extra money use your brain to come up with a product that people want and then do the work of marketing it. Want some examples?

Yahoo, Ebay, Google, MySpace, Amazon etc etc. And those are just the online ways.

This question really bums me out sometimes when I think about this because I had this idea about auctioning stuff online before there was an Auction Web... aka Ebay and let a friend talk me out of it as a worthless idea. Stupid friend.. Just think, I coulda been a bazillionaire now.

Too make a long and boring story short and to help you with your question, recently, I was looking for money making opportunities that didn't promise me to "get rich quick" or pay me "$30,000 a month" ( 2 sure warning signs of a scam) or cost any money to join. I was fortunate enough to come across a website that helped me with free info and tips on making extra money at home! I will post website at the bottom.
Also it is important for me to state, that in no way do I profit from this link, I only profited from the free information from the site. (2) This is the easiest way (for me) to make extra money. Believe it or not, I make extra pocket change by "reading emails. I just click on a email link and wait for a timer to expire, close the link and move onto the next email. It is a simple as that.
(c) Another popular way is to start your own blog and or website. You can share your experience or expertise, provide information ,sell items etc. It may take and effort to make money from your blog or website, but try to design it properly and your site or blog will start to make you money.
The internet is a great form of extra income because the internet is open 24 hours a day and seven days a week...Hopefully, you will find my answer helpful!!!

GAWD! when will those companies learn that those of us worth our salt when it comes to sales DELETE and IGNORE any position that tells us we have:

Sorry, I digress... think about your skills and your history. don't waste your money on tons of books that will answer all your problems. I admit I have a few of those myself, but your answers will come from what you already know and your networking skills.

just so this post wasn't a complete waste of your time, in case you just want nitty-gritty ideas of businesses, here is a few:

as far as kids go:
Daycare provider, kids clothing seller or USED seller, arrange for a second language class out of your home, tutoring, start a newsletter for parents, several brainy kids toys want moms to host parties to sell the stuff, have your kids help you invent a new product (not as crazy as it sounds), start a party business and rent out your backyard for birthday parties... ... ..... .......

and on and on and on.... just brainstorm, and talk with other parents.
