My friend is a social worker and has worked in collections before. She is looking for a position where she can live on site and help manage the property while she concentrates on writing a book. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have been at a big-4 accounting firm four two years (in audit), and get calls from recruiters several times a week. I get frustrated by auditing because I feel like my work, while important, has no impact on strategy or ACTUAL business. On the other hand, everyone says that Big 4 experience and a CPA "opens so many doors", and that you should stay until Manager. My eventual goal is to be a CFO or director of strategy, and I wonder how becoming an audit manager is going to help me get there.

So, my question is, should I stay until manager, or should I go get a job in industry (mgmt accounting/finance) and work my way up that way?

if you can't say something nice, whatever happened to that rule. I get enough talk back from my family. Don't want it here. There is funny, then there is just plain mean.

Just answer with the description of what you see as soon as you picture the meaning of the word without mutating it too much with additional meaning/examples you find in the word.

For some jobs, there are those questionaire's that ask questions like "Are you a confident person?" or "In high school, i got mostly good grades." And you have to answer with agree, agree strongy, disagree etc. How should i approach these questions? because ive completed a number of applications with this screening process and ive never gotten a call back, so i think im doing something wrong. I answer each question honestly, but others tell me not to and answer with the job's expectation's in mind. Thanks.

Hes been OBVIOUSLY checking me out at work when we pass in the halls, or in the elevator together. Hes always super nice to me, and goes out of his way to talk to me. Heres the problem. I work in the mailroom, hes an exec. I have been around him enough to know hes a good guy, should persue, or avoid? I know this could backfire, there arent any company policies against it. You think I should go for and see if there is something there?

I got fired at my last job not for misconduct. I was a very good worker very efficient, on time, showed up, wasn't always on the phone etc. My boss told me I had a problem with office politics. I didn't get along with one of the litigators. He told that to someone when I was applying for another job and I believe I lost the job for that reason. Isn't it wrong for an ex-employer to say anything negative about you in the future to other employers. I need help with this badly. I am a very good worker and would be an asset to any company.

My potential boss wants to relocate me to another city but I'd rather stay where I am coz of the hefty amount I put in for my accommodation arrangements. I will lose about 10k-15k if I decide to move out. My boss gave me the notice only 2 days back and I am yet to join tomorrow only. Can u help me on how to approach this issue? I don't want to appear as if I am not interested in this job and I also don't want to get sacked for this request.

I used to work as a nursing assistant on the midnight shift. On my off days, I would wake up hearing call lights going off. I have not worked in a nursing home for about 3 years. I still occasionally hear the buzzing of the lights. Wondering if its a sign or something to get back into working as a nursing assistant or anything that has to do with working with elderly folks.
