For some jobs, there are those questionaire's that ask questions like "Are you a confident person?" or "In high school, i got mostly good grades." And you have to answer with agree, agree strongy, disagree etc. How should i approach these questions? because ive completed a number of applications with this screening process and ive never gotten a call back, so i think im doing something wrong. I answer each question honestly, but others tell me not to and answer with the job's expectation's in mind. Thanks.

Lie your *** off. Seriously. Answer them in a way that makes you look as good as possible, and make sure if their are similar questions, answer them exactly the same for consistency.

You are assuming that your answers are to blame for your failure to get a call back interview. The truth is, you will never know what the cause is. The problem is, you appear to now be stuck in a mode where you will analyze the questions to death, and that's one way to create a vicious cycle in which you continuously psych yourself out.

My suggestion is somewhat counter-intuitive: Stop worring about the "right" answer, because there may not even be one. Often, companies consider the process by which a prospective employee approaches the problem as important as a particular answer. That is not to say the answer is irrelevant. Rather, when you become comfortable answering the questions, you may find you have become a bit more confident. At that point, you may well give the right answer simply because you are more confident.

Prospective employers have many other ways to learn about your high school grades. In my experience, employers are more interested in how you comfortable you are in your own skin.

Last, if you are not comfortable with the personality test, and if the hiring process at a particular employer hinges upon the "correct" response to those questions, perhaps the honest answer is that you will never be comfortable in that environment.

Good luck with your job search.

Depends on your goal. If you want the job then answer they way you think they would want you to. This may not be completely honest, but then what in the job search process is? I've represented myself as being really great at things I have never done. Then you just "Fake it 'till you make it!". This is the reality of the job market and economy today. These questionaires don't really expect you to answer honestly, they want to see that you are intelligent enough and interested enough to understand what the employer is likely to want from you.

Either way do your best to have more extreme answers. Being in the middle all the times means your are weak minded and not dominant enough to make decisions when the time comes. So As and Ds mostly..very few bs and cs

You answer strongly agree on all the ones about you being a good person, and you answer strongly disagree on the ones about you not being a good person.
