I need a job ASAP because I'm supposed to move to VA in November but I cant go out there without no money. I am very responsible, on time and courteous. If I cant find a job then I'm going to have to stay in the City. Which I really dont want to do. Can anyone out there from NYC please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not from NYC, but I'll tell you this...finding a good job at 18 is tough (I've been there), but there are options.

1. Temporary work thru an agency. They're always looking for people, because the clients that pay the agencies need shoes tofill, and most agencies are willing to train you with free classes.

2. Freelancing. Offering your services thru a want ad, posting, bulletin board, church notice, can also net you some clients.

3. Volunteering. Doesn't pay, but gives a lot of experience, and looks great on your resume.

And if you're going to VA in November, look for a Manpower or Kelly Services in that area, and make connections out that way in advance.

Good Luck!

#1 work on your grammer. #2 check JFK. Airports are always looking for new applicants to fill jobs ranging from pushing wheelchairs, to baggage handlers, to fast food, or waiters. Just check at the local airport employee office and put in an application for any job you're interrested in. The only thing they really require is for you to be able to pass both a federal and drug screening. PS. If you get a job with a particular airline, you may be able to transfer to a airport near where you're moving in VA.
