Hes been OBVIOUSLY checking me out at work when we pass in the halls, or in the elevator together. Hes always super nice to me, and goes out of his way to talk to me. Heres the problem. I work in the mailroom, hes an exec. I have been around him enough to know hes a good guy, should persue, or avoid? I know this could backfire, there arent any company policies against it. You think I should go for and see if there is something there?

Workplace romance, whether they become reality or not are not uncommon. Why? Because we spend a large part of our day at work, and so many use it as a way to meet people and socialize.

Romances between employees isn't the best idea because of the problems it can ultimately lead to.

And it's definitely innapropriate between a boss and subordinate. If you're definitely not interested in this person and feel that you're being "harassed," then I would suggest you go and talk to HR/Personnel.

Sexual harassment is very serious business. And failure for them to take action can lead to a lawsuit. By contacting HR, you'll remain anonomyous and cannot be disciplined or let go. And they'll make sure it's dealt with very quickly.

Don't let him get away with this totally inappropriate behavior!

Do you like this job? Would you like to keep it? Odds are that you would go out and have a great time for a while and then things would start to get awkward. As soon as the romance cooled. If you wait, letting him know why you are hesitant, he may see it the same way. Then again, he may continue to pursue you. It's up to you! Good Luck!!

It has been my past involvement that if you have or get involved with someone at work you can lose allot and other problems can come up if it does not work out. i feel you should not pursue it but the only one who can truly decide that is you!

If both of you are still eligible, what harm is there to fear? Furthermore a dinner is nothing great to talk about.

When I was younger, I dated my junior staff as well. No harm done.
