Serious question here.. I am not just talking about mcdonalds and your typical low paying jobs.. I have interviewed with companies that made me go through rigourous interviews wasting my precious time and they don't even bother with a call to let me know my status.

When employed I have been treated like just another Joe. I am in the IT field.. See this is the way I look at it.. If you treat me with disrepect I will never frequent your business.. So sure you did not hire me, but you just lost a potential customer, and whichever friends/family I decide to inform about their ill-mannered tactics. For example I recently interviewed with this large mortgage firm, if they choose to not hire me fine, but if they don't even give me the courtesy of a call they can forget about me ever going through them for a mortgage when that time comes.

So the question is why do most employers act like such scumbags?

On an application, it says they check background. Job was at least one year ago. I really had no responsibilities and felt the fast-food place I worked at was unsanitary and under bad management - which is why I didn't show up after a couple of days, how would I explain this on an application?

hello,

I just got my BA, majoring computer Information technology (software administrator). I didn't have a professional working experience or had never worked internship while I was in school. It has been only four weeks since I had graduated. However, while I was looking for a job on the internet, most companies ask for experience of at least a year or two. I am in fear of not finding me a job in the future. My question is -- Are there any options to look for a job other than monstertrak.com, dice.com, and craigslist.org? Or do I need to lie on my resume saying that I had worked as an intern even if I didn't? Please help!!

Best regards,
beniyamhabt

I've thought of being an architect, but then now I'm not so sure what I wanna do outta of school...I'm not even sure what college to go to! Everyone in my class knows exactly what they want in life and what they want to do...I dont wanna end up doing nothing. I want kids and stuff, but I just dont wanna be a stay at home mom...

How many of you have gone out of high school not knowing what you want to do then few years later went back and did it? Or have been living with crappy jobs?

I hear from a lot of people that it is shady...I also hear that's why many people quit. Well, either that or it's hard work, who knows?

I just remember this priest from my Catholic school days who used to be an accountant. His boss asked him to do crooked things and he said he quit and joined the order.

Whatever, lol! If it's that bad!
