I have only one vacation day left and no sick days. I understand that it would be best to interview while I am still at my current position, however, I don't see how it will be possible w/out my company becoming suspicious. Would it really hurt my chances of getting a new job if I left my current one first?

WHAT I MEAN IS A STATE THAT DOESNT HAVE ANY ONE JUST HANGING OUT AND NOT DOING NOTHING FOR THEMSELVES THATS EITHER WORKING OR GOING TO SCHOOL. ANOTHER WORDS A STATE THAT HAS JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR EVERYONE REGARDLESS OF BACKGROUND OR PAST HISTORY. A STATE THAT HAS COST OF LIVING THATS INEXPENSIVE BUT YET WHEN YOU GO TO THE SUPERMARKET THAT YOU WONT HAVE TO SPEND MORE THAN $100.00 DOLLARS TO BUY A DECENT AMOUNT OF FOOD. A PLACE THAT HAS INDEPENDENT WOMEN AND A STATE THAT IS CLEAN AND PRICES ARE CHEAPER THAN NEW YORK CITY.

I am thinking of leaving my company now, but I am worried that it might be more difficult to find a job in the summer b/c of all of the recent grads. I only have 2 years experience so I might have to compete w/ them. Would it be better to wait until the fall?

The longest job I have ever held was 2 years and that was my most recent job. In the past, I would leave jobs for stupid reasons, like I didn't like my manager (in hind sight, it wasn't a bad enough situation to just up and quit) or I just didn't want to work, period. My most recent job, I left because I suffer from Anxiety and Depression and I was getting so stressed out at my last job that it was causing migrains and I even tried suicide-all because of stress! I am doing some temp work at the moment to help pay bills but when I go on interviews, I have had the interviewer tell me straight up that he/she feels shaky about hiring someone who seems to change jobs every 18 months to 2 years or he/she is afraid I may relapse with my depression, although I am currently on medication and receiving counseling/therapy on a regular basis.

As to why I left my previous job(s), is there a better way to convince the interviewer that I am ready to settle down and make a career for myself???

and because the company is moving they asked me to wait for another month (July 3rd). So far the job offer is verbal only and no contract had been signed. We have been communicating via email regarding my start date status. My question and concern is, is this company seriously considering to hire me or are they just delaying the process in hope that I'll give up and quit myself? Has any of you guys have a similar dilemma and how should I handle this? I had stop looking for other jobs since I accepted the offer. The job pays 24,000 month (I know it's very small amount) and the job duty involves business correspondence etc.

My employer announced a merger with another company in June of 2005. I was told by HR and our management that our department would be eliminated with the merger, we would get our 60 day notice and terminated employees would receive a severance package that would total no less than X. The 60 day notice date has changed several times now. We were first told that we would be let go in March 2006 but yesterday we were told that we now be here until March 2007. My co-workers and I feel that we have put our careers and lives on hold for empty promises. We can we do to protect ourselves and make sure that we are not getting a raw deal somewhere down the line? We have not signed any severance agreements at this point.
