i have a degree in biology and have been working in a research lab for the last 5 years, i have a strong back ground in chemistry. I have always wanted to be a forensic scientist and can't seem to get my foot in any door!! please help! i'll take any advice!

My advice is not to waste your time trying to get answers from all of us Yahoos out here and instead go spend time talking to actual forensic scientists, asking them for advice in your specific situation as well as their own history (background, getting into their current position, etc.).

You might start out at the morgue, nobody wants to work in it but you get the opportunity meet with other forensic scientists. You make your mission known to them and you can get a toe in the door.

start doing an internship or something in the forensics department. or you can go for another degree in forensics science.

They have online courses for that now. Although I think a class room setting would be better. But online is convienent
