Not many places. You can call your local newspaper to see about a newspaper route, cut lawns, wash cars, walk dogs, stuff like that.

I would suggest asking your parents friends if they have any odd jobs around thier houses that need done. Other good sources are grandparents or other family members. If you know fo elderly people in your neighborhood go up to thier doors and ask if there is something they could use help with. Ask the small grocery store owner if you can sweep oout the store at night. You could ask older girls or guys if you could wash thier cars. Check out a paper route if nothing is available ask to be a sub for when others are sick. There is always babysitting, and dog walking put an ad in the newspaper. Check with the janitor at your school he might have a task or two for you. If you belong to a church or other organization perhaps they would have some odd jobs. Good Luck, Keep it simple and have fun!

You didn't provide any information about which state you live in. But, I'm pretty sure most States follow the same statute of rules. In my State employment can be offered to no one younger than the age of 14. Even then you are only allowed to work so many hours in one week. The employer can also pay you a reduced wage. What you would need to check on is Child Labor Laws for your State and see what you come up with. My suggestion would be taking on something like offering to mow peoples lawn's in your neighborhood. Or walk their dogs, Or maybe even a paper route.. Things like that. Most will be impressed with the eagerness you show and wont mind offering you a few dollars to do some chores for them.

You have to be 15 to get a work permit, in some places 16 so no 12 year olds can get official jobs. He could however do all the things you said no to.

A 12 year old boy can do a lot of odds and ends to make some money. Mow lawns, get a paper route, also depending on your location some businesses accept dishwashers at that age.

Depending on the area you live in you can clean yards for the neighbors, take out trash, mow, rake, that kind of thing. You could print a list of things you are willing to do and how much you charge an hour or by the job and leave them on your neighbor's doors along with your phone number. It is really hard to find other work at that age. Good Luck....oh and babysitting and window washing is also good business...

gee i never 12 yr olds have a sole patch on their chin. i guess kids ARE growing up faster than usual.

since you are 12 you cannot legally work, but you can do "chores" for other people.

lawn mowing, dog walking, babysitting, house painting or fence painting, car washing, garage cleaning, are just some "chores" a 12 yr old can do. i mean the pay sucks for some of the jobs but some of them do pay you well for those kinda work. you can work in a grocery store if you know the owner or manager.

You could ask around the neighborhood or your parent's friends and co-workers to see if any moms need a "summer helper" - someone to watch younger kids while they get things done around the house, or step out to do quick errands.

Many moms of little boys would be thrilled to have an older boy watching their kids.

School is a big job in itself even though its not paid. For a paying job,you have to swallow your pride and do unskilled labour. You are too young to be formally employed or to have special skills that you get from years of training.Go to your local job centre and see someone WHO CAN HELP YOU or look in your neighbourhood for things you can do in exchange for a small fee.A lemonade stand is also a good idea.

Sit down and brainstorm some things you can do...mowing, walking dogs, washing cars, raking leaves, etc. Then, print up a flyer listing the services you offer (check with your parents FIRST to see if you can include your name and phone number) and be sure to include your "fee schedule"...like wash car - $5 or mowing lawn - $7/hr, next pass out to your neighbors and church family. All that being said, PLEASE do not do any of the above without checking with your parents first!!! They have to approve it to keep you safe.
