Counseling is clearly one option. Also, there are places where your background would be great for Human Resources Department. You might also see how you fit with marketing and so on. A lot of it will have to do with your interests other than your degree, where your degree is just a bonus, since your degree (presumably a bachelor's) is one that is normally a preliminary to a higher degree in professions like researcher and such. You would probably do well as a research assistant in social research, including marketing.

If I were you, I'd not write off the idea of taking a higher degree, and you could make money as a teaching assistant or junior counselor in the undergraduate program while you pursue that higher degree. I guess we are back to what really interests you.

The two great divisions in social sciences generally are clinical and research. If clinical, what sort of clients would you like to serve: children, elderly, single parents, the poor, handicapped, etc.? If research, what sort of topics?

There are very few options for positions based on your degree within social or behavioral sciences. You can get an entry level behavioral tech job with a MHMR type organization. your best options are to go to graduate school and get something like an LPC or MSW degree (or PhD) or get a job in another area...sales and marketing are two options that your degree can have some sucess in (and both pay pretty well).

On-line is the best bet to look for jobs if you do not know what jobs you want to have. Why did you get that degree? If you had a plan with it, look it up either in newspapers, Internet, or from from friends. Network to find the best jobs. Social and Behavioral Science, I think deals with people, so look for jobs that have Human Resources, they are always looking for people. Wish you Luck!

If you are looking to work in the social and behavorial science area, you didn't say if you truly wanted to do that, you could ask around at the local children's homes, boys homes, to see if they could use some help and you can also gain some experience there or become an intern later.
