As others have said, legally they can't consider your pregnancy at all in deciding to hire or not hire you, however they will. How can they not? You will require a long leave of absence very shortly and that impacts their ability to run their business, and depending on their benefit plan, may cost them money.

Best suggestion - contact your local temporary agencies. If you can look professional, they can get you an office job. Pay will depend on what skills you have, but even if you don't have a lot of office skills, you can probably get a receptionist job.

Since they should have positions that don't require a long stay, and they can always put another temp in your spot when you leave, it should be easier to find work.

I did exactly that when I was pregnant with my first child.

Good luck.

Rather than looking to get hired, this might be a very good time to start a home based business! It's something you can start right away and keep building after baby is born. This could really work for you because you would be able to work your own hours and not have to leave the home, yet have all the support you need to keep building.
I would love to show you how to get started being a stay at home Mom with an income.

It is illegal to discriminate in hiring a pregnant woman, but that doesn't mean that you won't get discriminated against. What are your skills/qualifications? You might try a temporary agency...they can find you a short term assignment that will get you some money, help you establish yourself, and could even turn into a permanent job if the place you work likes you and you do a good job.

Youu could try Burger King. They are use to a high turn over . You have to keep in mind you will only be able to work for about 1 1/2 more months. Nobody will spend much time on that.

Probably no one except for an industry with a VERY high turnover.
Why hire someone who will leave a month after training is completed only to have to train them all over again after their maternity leave is over?
Not me...

Unfortunatly, your options are limited. however, there are cool places to work that need you.....maternity clothing shops (easy on stress!) or baby supply places. Then, the not so appealing daycare centers...which if you are single (which i am with a child!) will be a blessing b/c it lowers daycare costs like crazy!! Either way, good luck sweetie!!!

Try a seasonal business where your maternity leave take place during their down season, such as a company that manufacture heaters.

Maybe its not because you are pregnant but rather you are just unqualified. Try applying for jobs in which you are qualified.
