Well we all know that we can't be a Dr. without a degree, but that is not the case with all jobs.
If you are the type of person who can show determination, drive, reliability and responsibilty, doors should open for you somewhere.
I'm not saying that it won't take time and you will have to perservere being at the bottom of the ladder. However, how long you stay in that bottom runge position is totally up to you and pride in work well done.
Wishing you the best of luck in your future endevors.

Have you tried doing an internship? In my major, we are actually required to log in 400 hours of internship experience and then 400 hours of pratical work experience. I am in the Hotel Restaurant Tourism program where I attend college. Many of our E.E. students take summer internships to gain experience, some do an internship every summer. You might want to talk to your advisor and see if there is anything like that available, or maybe a co-op position.

If you don't have a degree, there is a slim chance of doing what you want, but find someplace where they hire E.E's, and then you work your but off so they can see that you really are a hard worker and then just do the job.

Well that's exacly it, you start off as entry level and you can work your way up. I started at the bottom where i am and have climbed a little. Have a really snazy resume that catches their eye.

You make that decision, plan it,start with a resume and be sure to stay positive, focused and let them know you really want to do that job and are more than willing and are a hard honest worker.Don't be shy to mention you'd like them to give you the opportunity to work for them.

Friends or family already in the business. You may start in mailroom or some other non-related position for the company that is in your field.
Good luck I'm trying to do the same in C.E.
