Masters Degree vs. Master Certificate, which is better for a 35 yr.old career changer. I want to get into Human Resources (HR) after 20 yrs in customer service. I have my BA degree in communications and want to get additional education but not sure which way is best. I am married and we bought a house less than 2 yrs ago so money does play a part in which way my education will go.

I am a Fashion Design Major. Graduated 2005 *** laude with a 3.75 overall gpa. I've sent about 150 individualized resumes and cover letters and follow up phone calls, yet not one single employer has responded to even acknowledge that I am "alive". These were all job leads from the college job leads web-page. I have been designing free lance for about 20 years and flew through college on nearly straight A's. Yet I cannot get so much as a "face-to-face" interview anywhere.

I received a memo with my paycheck this week stating the insurance rates had increased starting this pay period. Open enrollment is not until August and no one was given the opportunity to opt out if they did not want the increase in payment. Is this legal?

I have a job offer and it says I will be temporary and working under a contract for two years. Then after that they "may" offer me a more permanent position. What does this mean??

So I kind of wasted a few years at uni (got a 2:1 though), and now I'd like to pick a career. How do you choose?

Any links to decent (free) career test things would be appreciated too.

Well someone I know has not finished their high school diploma she is in her early 20's and a few credits away (about one semester). Has one year experience as a costumer service rep, 5 months collector and some office clerk experience. I'm helping with her resume but I don’t know what to put in it if she has no H.S. Diploma and very little experience. Any suggestions? I’m looking for something that would not make her look bad for not completing H.S.
