Give great answers and ask great questions. Research info about American Eagle and use it to show you are prepared and interested. You may be asked some form of the question "Why do you think you would be an asset to American Eagle?" this is a great opportunity to talk about the company's goals and objective. Employers love to here that a potential employee shares the company philosophy. Also, it can't hurt to have a piece of AE clothing on for the interview :) GOOD LUCK!

I have been an HR Mgr for the past 10 years and I can tell you from experience, the most knowledgeable candidates always stand out in the crowd.

Spend a couple hours learning more about American Eagle and their culture. Make sure you stop by the store before your interview and just look around. Watch the employees and customers as they interact with each other. Make mental notes of the store layout and anything else that might be useful during your interview.

Make sure you dress appropriately for the interview. To make sure you stand out follow these few simple rules: always wear clean clothing, lots of eye contact with the interviewer (shows you're being honest), show how eager you are about joining American Eagle and most definitely keep wearing that winning smile.

Don't forget ty send that "Thank You" card right after the interview. Always a good way to score brownie points.

You dress nicely, not jeans, or short shirts, no tennis shoes... a nice dress, not to short.. nicely done makeup.. don't go over board on it.. stand tall, keep your head up high.. a nice smile always helps, but not a big toothy grin.. no giggling.. Have a resume.. if you have not worked before, make up one of your school activities, and grades.. what clubs you may have been in school etc.. any volunteer you may have done.. church.. things like that.. don't go in demanding days off.. or saying you can't work Sat. nights cause you date or things like that.. Don't chew gum !! but a good breath mint would be good before you go in.. good eye contact helps. shake hands with them going in and thank them for their time at the end of the interview and shake their hands when leaving.. set tall in the chair when interviewing.. Don't lie about things that you can do.. it will come back to bite you in the butt... Good luck !!

Dress appropriately, but don't be afraid to show a bit of style, especially since it is at a clothing store. Don't show skin though, they don't like that....

sit up straight, and speak clearly. Smile.
