Yes! Despite what some have said, in the restaurant industry. A bar manager who also bartends as well is certainly entitled to share of the overall tips based on the amount of hours worked in relation to others.
A manager who is waiting tables should sometimes be allowed to keep tips if they wait on tables but not on the bar.

Yes, but management should be behind the scenes, and have the others out there working for him, he should only be out there being seen to make sure the others are doing their jobs, and greeting customers, and making the customers happy at all times.. He really should not be in the position to be making the tips, like in a restaurant, waiting on tables, or serving, unless it is just crazy busy, or he is trying to impress a really important client, and then he should be out there bringing wine or making sure everything is fine with them.. things like that..

Yes. In the hotel I work at, the Banquet Manager is eligible for tips, when an event is held gratuity is added into the bill and the Banquet Manager recieves a portion.

They shouldn´t, but lots do. If the business owners are paying their staff the same as the managers then the manager should be in on it.. if not no way.. Tips supplement a low wage packet.
