I quit my job this morning. I loved it so much but I hated my co-workers and my managers. I quit for me, because I was coming home feeling so miserable everyday from work and was on the verge of burnout. Now I just feel like crap and my mom is very upset that I didn't wait to quit until I had another job lined up. I thought quitting my job would make me feel better and less stressed out and now my mom is just making me feel worse than ever. I have a lot of possibilities, I just don't want to turn in the applications yet because I want to wait to see if I get a full-time childcare provider job that a mom I babysit for said she might be able to fix me up with. I don't want to miss out on an oppurtunity like that so I am waiting to hand in applications to like Kohls and JCPenny. Is that ok? What would you suggest I do? I work part time at a second job, so money is not an immediate problem.

Recently my Boss offered me a job transfer; closer to home, actually work to be done and more cost effective. Now he's saying that he's going to "use me as a tool" and work both places. We are supposed to have a "chat" today and he's going to tell me when I can start and what he's going to have me doing. When I put the request to transfer in; I din't know I would have to travel back and forth and that I was going to be used as a tool. I have worked my butt off for seven years not to be anyones Lapgirl. I nned advise please!!! Should I put my foot down and tell my boss that I only want to work at the job closer to home and if hes says it'sa no-go should I quit? I deploy soon and I know I could find a job when I get back, I just don't know what to do. Any advise is greatly appreciated!

Hi

I need a bit of extra cash as im a bit short at the moment with the job im doing. I have been offered something part time but want to know if anyone has done something similar and whether it was worthwhile. My local sports and leisure centre need a kind of caretaker to go out and paint the white lines for the rugby and football pitches. Maybe also do the tennis courts. It probably wouldnt do as a main job but do you think this will be a good sideline?

I use my boss' all the time after lunch. He doesn't even know about it and I see nothing wrong with it. If he catches me I'll jsut sue him for defamation of character.

When I took my job I took a considerable pay cut as I was promised certain responsibilities and a build up in pay.

At the moment my boss is really taking the mickey! I have still not had a pay rise, he expects me to be very flexible with my hours but will not allow me any flexibility. Whenever I take holiday they leave my work piled up for my return. And he is trying to talk me into signing up for a new venture with them - I am not going to do it.

I have tried talking to them but nothing seems to work.

Any advice please?

I registered with the IN Workforce office. I went to an interview and was hired. The job description was $16-$24 hr. deliverying advertising material. Must have own vehichle. After 2 weeks of solid work, my employer told me to hold on his contract fell through for the project. I gave weekly reports of what I was doing with a break down of mileage and expenses. My expenses only included a cell phone which they agreed to reimburse me for. May 1st I started, May 15th they told me to hold on. I have never been reimbursed or paid for anything. What do I do? My employer never returned my phone calls or answeres emails.

I have a no job experience as an engineer but I work currently as a technician in an engineering firm and I have been out of school for 3 years working on a masters in engineering. Someone suggested lying on my resume about my job title because I have been out of school for a long time and it looks fishy that I don't have an engineering experience. I said no but I am wondering if I am not right because I have had few calls for engineering jobs interview.
Am I wrong or is this what everyone does for their first jobs?

I am currently a customer sevice rep for a telephone company, but I am so tired of being on the phones. Everyone seems to be moving up except me. I have tons of customer service experience and I contribute a lot of valuable information to my peers as well as my superiors. I am in school for business management; however, there are plenty of people who are moving up without degrees! WTF!
