I think that this depends on how you view success. If it means who has made the most money then people who say Oprah Winfrey are right. If it is power and influence then Condaleeza Rice or Cleopatra or the Queen of Sheba.
Success can mean happiness or helping others and many black women, famous and otherwise have achieved this. Mary Seacole changed nursing and saved lives in the Crimea. Maya Angelou and many others might lay claim to the title too.
