This is for a first job at a smoothie king. One of the items on the application asks what my desired wage is. What should I put? Do I have to write a number or can I write soomething like 'negotiable'? 6.15 per hour is the minimum wage in my state

Considering your first job an d at smoothie king-more than likely paysminnmun wage. Put the minimum wage $6.15 on the application for if you put more they'll think you're not willing to work for less. This is only the application to get you a phone call for an interview-at the interview you can discuss age -if negotiable but get foot in door first.

it doesn't really matter, but I would put 7/hour. It shows that you not greedy by putting 8 or 9. You can put 6.15 cause it shows that your willing to start at the bottom, and they will prob put you at that price in the beginning either way. Good luck

You could place a range $6 to $8, negotiable or you could call the place of business and ask one of the employees what they make.

wow, 6.15 as minimum. damn, my state's cheap. anyway. put negotiable. it makes you appear, not greedy, but like you know your worth. it's a good thing

It depends on the area of the location, but I think anyone working in the service industry deserves AT LEAST $10 per hour to start.
