Customer service translates across the board. Where would you like to work? Whatever you're interested in or have a passion for, apply to the Human Resources Director for that company. Your customer service experience could also be useful in human resources. If you're interested in music, check out local companies for record labels, radio stations (just don't get into selling radio ads -- drag), and you'll be able to parlay your experience and interests into a winning combination and move up in the company. As for the people you know who are moving up without degrees, I take it they're not willing to share their knowledge and probably got the job because they "knew somebody" on the inside. Don't worry about it. You have to play the hand you're dealt and it will be a winner!

I think u r definately qualified for an upgrade for the career, in terms of paper qualification & contributions, based on wat u said...
so, u need to think what have gone wrong? mayb u should b more sociable?? a leader is alwiz a team player, who can mix around with her superiors and coworkers. Find a good time to discuss with ur superiors, ask him what can u further improve urself in order to perform ur task better. From there, u can learn up ur mistakes (if there is, since most of the time v think that v r right). This can indirectly show to ur superior that u care for ur career and she'll upgrade u soon when the right time comes.

What's the point in opening up the store if you give the goods away. Don't help out your peers as much. Be nice, refer them to their supervisor. Make yourself shine to management. CC your boss when you are helping or providing information to others...
Take on more work and responsiblilities. Prove to your boss that you are above the job you are in and need more challenge. In one job, I kept asking for more and maintaining everything and they promoted me because no matter what they gave me, I still kept up all my work and the additional work. If you are appreciated, you should be promoted within a year. If not, find another job.

Just talk to your supervisor or boss directly the reasons why you can't be promoted as your peers acquired. If not, get ready for resignation.
