I've been with my current job for over 5 years now. I've become quite comfortable there but I hate several of the people I work with. I feel that I'm under compensated and not respected for what I do (who doesn't). It also doesn't offer much growth. Despite the people I hate and the lack of compensation and stalemate for growth it's a secure steady job.

Recently I have had a new job offer come to the table. This is a brand new start up. The owner is willing to pay much more than I'm receiving and willing to give me as much opportunity as I desire. One problem I see is lack of security. How long can he stay afloat if he doesn't have business coming in? The company I work for is established and has many steady clients. What do you think?

I'm looking for another secretarial job, and I've got 1 year of experience in a medical office. The previous office manager who hired me was recently let go, and the new manager doesn't like me very much, so my letter of reccomendation went out the window.

(I also know that the doc I work for pays like crap....how do I get more without telling a potential boss I worked for less?)

If y'all could provide some tips on how to make an awesome resume, I'd get a better job, sooner! :p

I really want a job in an engineering firm but have been told a number of times that I am over qualified. Should I redo my resume to their preferences or should I continue to look elsewhere for another position?

At my employers request I need to interview an evening employee. What kind of questions do I need to ask? I usually do the training , not the interviewing.

Hey I'm 18, I was considering adding this to my resume:

•eBay Seller, Since October 6th, 2001
Over 400 transactions, 99% positive feedback. Created and managed auctions and sales for over five years.

What do you think? Should I add it? Change it? Leave it off?
