First of all it's great that you are taking so much responsibility and learning the art of saving! To get started you can try finding some families in your area that have kids or talk to your parents and see if any of their co-workers need some summer help.
Also, try looking in some local papers (I'm not sure where you are from but the help wanted section in your local paper could be helpful), or try looking on craigslist.org under childcare to post ads and respond to ads.
Also, if any of your friends already babysit or you have friends with younger siblings try letting their parents know that you are looking for some babysitting jobs, they may know of other families that need sitters and if the reference comes from word of mouth then at least both sides know they are getting and working with someone reputable.
You could also try posting fliers in safe places but don't put your home numbers on them because you never know who will pick those up! Try using your or your parents email address (ask them first!) so if some creep picks up the flier at least your parents can help you so you don't get hurt!

There are several ways to get the word out about your want of a babysitting job. First off, ask those around you that you know if they are in need of a babysitter. In the town that I live the demand is high. Also, it would a bad idea to make up a basic flyer on MS Word, and disperse them around your neighborhood and town. Make sure that you can provide references if asked, and make them aware that they may be contacted. It is a good idea also to have a rate system set up so that you can provide a service without being unfair to anyone. This will also show people that you are a fair business minded person that knows your value. Much success to you in your endeavors, and enjoy what you do as for this also leads to more business.

You should try to get clients by word of mouth. Perhaps you have teachers or your parents have friends that might need a babysitter. Ask them if they would recommend you to these people.

If you go to church, you could place a bulletin on the church bulleting board offering your services.

how about putting out flyers to nearby houses...you can put out a notice in your town's convenient stores...you can even spread out your services through word of mouth by telling your friends or asking your parents to spread the words around...
