The bank attempted to cash the same check twice and that made me overdrawn. I caught the mistake on the Internet and brought it to their attention. The representative claimed that it was not their mistake but the recipient of the check who had tried to cash it twice. I went to the recipient and they proved that they only cashed it once. The bank said that they would investigate but my account was shutdown and I was unable to pay bills the normal way. By the start of the next day, the mistake had been fixed but the computer assessed me $150 in overdraft charges. I called the bank and I was told that they could do nothing without evidence. I called there national phone line and they returned the money in about 2 seconds. I told them that they owed me some money for the time, effort, and inconvenience they caused me.
