I have joined with data entry sites and home survey sites and found that they want you to get your own website and generate traffic and make money from being an affiliate. This may be all good and well but I have no one to refer and cant afford to spend money to get traffic to my site, hence the job hunting in the first place. I have been ripped off every time I have tried to make some cash to make ends meet for myself and my 3 children under 5 and just want a legit way to make some money whilst looking after my children.

Well, don't figure on doing it from Internet sites that promise you can make money. You'll probably get some responses here from people touting their sites and trying to get you to join so they can get part of your signup fee.
As you have discovered the hard way, pretty much all of those sites are SCAMs.
