Let's say you owned a house, your brother owned a house, your sister owned a house, and your parents owned a house. If each person quitclaim deeded their house to the next family member so that another family member owned their house, so no one no longer owned the house they live in and then paid "rent" to the family member that now owned the house, how could each person that owned the new house not claim the house as rental property and then claim depreciation on their taxes?

I am in the process of buying a home. The current owner has been letting his daughter and grandson live there, but claims he is selling because he's tired of them living off him for free. I told him to get her out before we sign paperwork, because I will not buy a house with her in it at the time of closing. I'm supposed to close on dec. 15th............how can I speed this up?????

A friend is being sued in Texas for a debt. 2 years ago he was sued over a debt his ex defaulted on. There was a default judgement and I doubt he paid the debt. I think the new suit is an attempt to collect on the judgment. What happens if he doesn't go to court and still refuses to pay? he works on commission. I assume the court will garnish his wages? Is there anything else they can do?

This creditor called me this morning.. They refused to tell me what company they were.. They lady was YELLING at me, telling me I didnt need to know and I should just pay my debt.

She finally told me MCO financial systems? She was completely rude telling me she didnt need to tell me any information. I asked her for her name, she refused. I asked several more times and she hung up on me..

Yesterday they called also, and i siad i couldnt pay the bill and hung up. they called right back, I hung up again and said i cant afford it and to not call back, he called back 4 times.

Is there any laws against this harrassment? what should i do..

My apartment complex sent me a notice that they were not renewing my lease as of October 1, 2007. I left September 22, 2007. I returned the keys in an envelope to the place where I received the keys with a note that said my name and address. I get a letter of eviction from them because I didn't pay October's rent. Then I call them and they say well you didn't tell us you were leaving, you owe us October's rent and court cost. Then they said I didn't return the keys and if I did I returned them to the wrong place. I get a notice yesterday that I owe $842. IF I don't pay it within 30 days they will place it for collection. What can happen here? Can they garnish my paycheck? What can I do?
