whether it is calculated asper MD tax rates or TX tax rates, because MD has more tax than TX.......clarify?

There is no income tax in TX. Taxes are withheld for the state where you actually work. Since that's TX and TX has no income tax, no state tax will be withheld. It does NOT matter where the employer's headquarters are located.

with holding is base on state of residency.
employer can not with hold the taxes of their state only of the employees state.
federal taxes are across the board.

Your taxes should be paid to the state that you physically work in.

I work for a company that is in Kansas and I am in MN, I pay taxes to MN.
