If you dont file for bankruptcy but also dont pay the debt is ur credit rating still going to be bad? example: am in debt of £6,000 for 6 years now but have contacted them & keep getting letters, is ma credit bad now? will it be worser if i file for bankruptcy? or same as now? is it worth filing for bankruptcy? shall i just keep ignoring the credit angencies? im not going to get a card , loan or anything like that in the future so shud i just keep ignoring them? but at the moment can i still take a card? as i have file for bankruoptcy but also not got back to the collectors?

I was denied, they said that the credit reference agency provided them with a bad report(or words to that effect). I can understand this as I have bad credit from 6 years ago.

They also mentioned that I could see this information but on the sites FAQ there was no help. Like I said I have bad credit from a few years ago and still owe a bank money(I was young and stupid and couldnt see past the end of my nose/let alone looking to get a mortage in 7 years).

I want to sort this out but need to know where to begin and really want to be able to see my bad report so I can try to rectify it. So how can I do this. I dont have a credit card anymore for obvious reasons so if a site asks for this I cant provide it.

If you made 3000/month and withheld 7 on your check to get more money each paycheck and use deductions on property tax and home interest to even out your tax bill at the end of the year is that illegal if you are married and have 1 child but are witholding 7.

The extra money each check would allow you to pay a higher mortgage than if the taxes were taken out.

I have asked questions about reverese mortgages on YA for a while

I have received many different responses, who do I believe ?

I CALLED RM' brokers I have found online and they too give erroneous or conflicting info.

I have been told You must live in the home for more than 6 months out of a year

Then I was told as long as you live in home at least one day out of 365 that satisfies the RM residance rules rules

Then I was told I could NOT get a RM on two different homes followed by another expert telling me I can.

If you are a RM broker and can answer my questions please do so
If not please DON'T BOTHER.

What I want to do is:

REFI my home IN FLORIDA - get $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 cash out ( I have over $100,000.00 in equity ) TO buy a $100,000.00 home IN TN and then get RM's on both homes - as soon as I would be eligible ( another question I have been given different answers on is --- is there a waiting period after buying a home and getting a RM?

I heard on the radio that the government has given the green light for local councils to start experimenting with charging for charging households for clearing landfill rubbish by weight.

I thought a percentage of the council tax went towards this - so yet another stealth tax! What happens to those people in flats with communal bins? Is this going to be shared among the flats - very popular for the pensioner living on her own!!! What about those who cannot store rubbish and have the special sacks to put out? How are the dustbins going to be secured to ensure that a householder is only paying for his own rubbish?

This proposal is rediculous and unworkable! Anyone with outside space will just burn their rubbish and fly tipping will become an even bigger problem.

Would you be happy to pay extra or would you expect a reduction from your council tax bill if they were charging you this way?

I'll be graduating this summer with about $17k in student loan debt. I've accumulated about $3k in savings so far, and I'm hoping to save another $3k for by the time I graduate (I work full time and still live at home).
My question is what's the best way to approach the loan debt? First, none of my loans are consolidated yet. All but one $3500 loan is subsidized. Finally, I'd like to move out of mom's basement sometime in the next six months.
Given that, should I look into consolidation? Should I dump a chunk of my savings into the loans to pay them down quickly? Should I jsut stick with the minimum monthly payments and save my pennies?

My main question is about making the first move when it comes to the money request. Should I speak up first with my money request, or should I have my boss take the lead and suggest what they are willing to give? Based on the research I've done, some say that you should state your amount and then leave it up to the company to counter-offer. Other sources say that it's tacky to not let the company make the first move.

I have all my backup information in order to prove my worth for my requested amount, so I don't really need help with that. I'm mostly just concerned with this one item.

Please don't just state one way or another--please tell me why you feel that way.

Thanks!
