I own some shares of a mutual fund. Will I be taxed in the coming years on the capital gains and dividends, even if I reinvest them and do not sell any shares?

Given it is a business two notice, is calculated as 14 days straight or would it be 10 business days? How would you count it if the business is open 24/7/365? My two week notice I gave recently included weekends for 14 days straight? Right or Wrong?

I had a interviiew for a great IT job with the state dept and all went well and the only salary that was discussed was they said they were pretty sure they could give me more than I am making now. Well today the HR dept called today to schedule the criminal background and drug test, the funny part is a set salary and other things haven't been discussed, do you think this will be discussed durring this time or do you think that HR already thinks that my manager has already went over these things?

Hello was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions. I got a 07 Mazda 3 last Dec, I financed it. At the time the payments for me on a 5 yr term were no problem. However few months later I was let go from my job and now my current job pays about 700 less. That 700/month was kinda my car/transportation budget. So hence my question ... How do I get rid of this car now, cause I'm struggling with the payments. I don't have enough savings to buy out the car and although I'm managing the payments now but I think pretty soon the inevitable is gonna happen and I don't wanna screw up my credit history.

My mother just received a threatening letter in the mail today regarding an old account from the Law Office of Harris and Zide...
It basically states that "we have previously called this matter to your attention but to date you have not agreed to a payment arrangement to pay the balance on your account that is satisfactory..we feel that we have given you enough time to resolve this matter and that no such further extension should be permitted..unless we promptly receive your check in this office to clear your account we will proceed with whatever collection activity is necessary to enforce payment of this account.."
Well, my mother has never received anything from them in the past.. this was the first time she heard of them trying to contact her.. Also, I just started helping her with her budget and Ive been monitoring her mail and I never saw anything either... of course she wants to settle this debt, but she doesnt have the full amount..she can only do payments, and only starting

Ok, so I have a nose piercing and tongue piercing. I'm thinking about getting more lol. The problem is that I don't know where I could apply for a job with these piercings. I know that I can you clear piercings but they are still visible. So, you guys have any suggestions as to where I could work and it won't be an issue??? besides a tattoo parlor. It's been almost 6 1/2 weeks since the buyer signed the sales contract and given the earnest money deposit in escrow and still no inspection date is set nor is an appraisal is ordered by their lender. They showed us a pre-approval letter and we felt comfortable with selling to them because they were pre-approved. What is the hold up? We set the closing date for Dec 19th, 2007. I sold one of my bedroom sets and livingroom furniture already and holding yard sales to sale to the rest of the things and now this sale seem like it's going down hill. I have another house building and is depending on the sale of this house to cover the new home. I just find it a little funny their lender have not took this process futher. The buyers excuse is they are shopping lower rates. The realtor is their best friend and they have been friends for 20-something years. I think the buyers realtor is covering them. I do not know what to think about this sale? Maybe I don't really have a sale?

This is my problem. I need to know what I can do with the resources I have to get myself back on my feet. I work at footlocker and only make 7.15 an hour being the stock monkey. I get about 10 to 15 hours a week. I own a 2001 grand am gt that is in my girlfriends name. I have a sprint cell phone with bill of 48 dollars a month. My car insurance and note is about 270 a month. My girlfriend pays rent because she agreed she would if we live together. I live in michigan where jobs are hard to find and my credit score sucks so that doesnt help me get student loans to get me back into school to better myself. My parents live in ohio and they are depending on retired gm check and they both work side jobs to make extra money every month. What can I do to get my **** back together and not have to depend on my girlfriend for little things like food, home, and sometimes car payments? When I pay my bills im just stuck at home bored and depressed. Remember I live in michigan if I lived in Flordia!!

I know you have to go to law school after your get your undergrad degree, but i have a few questions.

- Do you have to be a lawyer first?
- How do you become a judge?
- How long is law school?
- How many hours a week does a judge work? I'm assuming its not a 9-5 job.
