I make $90,000 a year and my job comes loaded with health benefits, retirement, etc. I'm single, have no car payment, no debt, and no kids. What do you think is the maximum amount of money I should spend on a house? (i.e. 200k? 300k? 400k?) I live in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In my classes, i'm seeing lots of nurses. My question is, will my degree be any good without being an RN first. I'd rather do the paper work side versus hands on patients side. I don't have the special skills for nursing. So what can I do with my MBA in Business/healthcare administration degree If i'm not a nurse.

Yesterday she pulled me into her office to accuse me of stealing food (and the day before that I was written up because my hair was still wet and the day before that for not wearing hose--I work in a cublcle typing all day, I do not deal with customers, etc) and today she comes to me and says so how are you TODAY (all caps because thats what she emphasized) to which I said I am just fine TODAY (emphasizing same word) to which she said I need to see you in my office NOW. In her office she stood so close to me I could see her mascara clumps and told me that if my attitude continued she was going to write me up, that it was unprofessional and subordinate. Then she turned her back to me, opend the door and said end of conversation--and raised her eyebrow, waiting. Didn't trust myself to say anything so I nodded, to which she said, a nod isnt going to do it, saying I understand would be appropriate. So I growled I understand and as I walk back to my desk she says "Thats all i ask (with

My parents are involved in a situation where they need money to pay house bills (amount on house is higher per month). So anyways, it started out where my dad let's his friend (trust) sign a deed on the house as it turns out his "Friend" backstabs him and now the friend has a lien over the house. To my dad's stupidity decisions he made "trusting" a "friend" into signing a deed for the house, now we have to be forced to pay higher than the original amount per month. This means they are "begging" from their own kids to get partial amounts from all of their children including me to add some portion of the amount to pay the bill on the house. Which doesnt even cover the full amount for the month. If my parents made more responsible decisions and choices they wouldn't be in this situation. Then they have the nerve to get upset at me for giving them 200 bucks this week as I regularly give them 300. They wanted 100 more. Because of their own faults, they demand 100 more. Is this greed?

I have been giving them a number and I hope it's not too high for the market. I wanted to go a little high since I really got screwed on my last job. Some people at my old job were making $5 an hour more than me and I know I was more skilled and qualified. I don't want to make the same mistake again, but I also hope that I'm not so high that I don't get a call for an interview.

I am about $500 in debt. All which comes from different companies. I owe the electric company, gas company, IRS, and the bank. $500 is not bad considering there are people who owe thousands. But as we all know this amount will grow over time once the accounts incur late fees and collections charges. I just want to know how do I bring it all together as one bill a pay it off so no charges are added.

My father in law and his 2 sons have been in a business together for 18 yrs - each year they split the profits of the business. This year because of problems getting along, they decided to redo the partnership. Bro in law quit coming to work(still got paid) and then after 3 months at a meeting to discuss the new partnership agreement and whether he would come back hesaid he had retained an attorney and demanded that he not be forced to work with his bro ever and that his bro not talk to him and that he have control of the business. My FIL and my husband left the meeting after voting him out of the partnership and now life is a mess. My father in law put all of the money into the business and we(bro and BIL) contributed labor but no capital. All of land and such are in FIL's name. We have been informed lawsuit papers are coming suing for a 3rd of the business, inlcuding land and such. What should I expect???? This is a poor synopsis of things but the best I can do.

We're moving to Florida next year, but i'm wondering if we should wait a couple years before purchasing a home. We have a 2 year old. With the housing market being screwed as it is, would it be better to wait a couple years? Maybe get a condo or rental property?

What do you think. And, we DON'T have A-1 credit, BTW.

The term "book price" intimidates potential buyers, so why are there so many price guides published? I've noticed on Ebay that things like glassware, pottery and other "collectibles" usually sell for 10 to 50% of the current book prices.
