It usually means on target. for example an advert will say 'annual salary £30,000 OT earnings.

Usually its a low basic wage with comission on top, your expected target is set at £30,000 but you could earn more or less. Its usually less unless you are really good at your job!

Salary does not usually pay out the overtime. Thats why salary is a fixed sum for a certain number of hours. if you work more than the required hours for the week or month, then you get "time off in lieu" - basically paid time off.

My last boss was on salary and when the computer system was getting upgraded, she was working 50 to 60 hours a week for several weeks. She then got 5 days off in lieu (she was still paid and it did not cut into her vacation time).

OT as overtime is usually only paid to those people on wages (hourly rates).

So I don't think OT is overtime if you really do mean salary. Salary is usually only paid to middle and upper management.

If it relates to salary and its a sales job it refers to On Target, usually it is OTE On Target Earnings. Which means if you reach your sales target you will potentially earn that amount. However if you dont reach the targets set for you, you could end up earning much less.

Hi, I think it means Over Time. Depending on the company it could be for time and a half, although some others may have time and a third, time and a half and double time depending on when you did the overtime
