I know you have to go to law school after your get your undergrad degree, but i have a few questions.

- Do you have to be a lawyer first?
- How do you become a judge?
- How long is law school?
- How many hours a week does a judge work? I'm assuming its not a 9-5 job.

Any other information you can give me would be amazing.
Thanks!

you do have to be a lawyer firrst. law school is THREE years. not five. judges generally work full-time although there are some part-time judges. judges work under a wide variety of circumstances, and you really can't generalize as to what time they report for work or what time they quit. some public defenders become judges but I wouldn't say there's a high correlation. for more info on how to become a judge, i'm too lazy to type it twice so click on that other little girl who asked the same question.

My Dad is a lawyer and yes to be a judge you become a lawyer first. It's doesnt matter what kind of lawyer you are but most of the time a public defenders become judges. Judges mainly work 8-5 but can work later than 5. Law school is about 5 years(I think). Hope this helps!
