$1,600 is not really that much to owe, but it can seem like a million if you are unemployed. The best thing to do is keep making your minimum payments so your credit history stays clean. If you have trouble doing that, try contacting the credit card companies to see if they will work with you. Good luck finding a job!

It never made an iota of sense to carry a credit card balance and have to pay near usury interests rates. Better to do without and save the money until such time as you can pay cash for an item.

Work harder to find a job. But you might try to get some cash by having a garage sale, sell blood/plasma, collect alum cans. You really don't want to run up a big credit card balance.

I would be worried too if I were you. Maybe you should try to find a job and balance your spending in relation to what you make.

My unsecured debt is over 40 grand, do I care, no. Thats why they have chapter 7 bankruptcy.
