Yesterday I tried getting my boyfriends credit report, he was right next to me, through Experian. When it came time to view the report, they asked a few questions to verify his identity. The problem is the questions had to do with a new car that was purchased and a mortgage. He has neither one and because he checked "none of the above" it came back that they couldn't verify his identity. My question is what should he do now? Obviously there are some things on his report that do not belong there. He has never had a credit card, the most he has had on his report is hospital bills and now all of the sudden he has all this stuff. I am thinking maybe since him and his father have the same name that somehow it was a mixed up. Does anyone have any idea on what we should do from here? I can't even get his report online, I have tried all 3 agencies, Experian, Equifax, and Transunion and they ALL have the same security questions with the car and mortgage

Hello again:
Can you please tell me what taxes my 70 year old mother will incure when she sells her home to the City (through imminent domain). My mother had owned the home for over 35 years and the sell of the home is for $290,000. Will she have to pay capital gains tax? Will she get a tax concession for being over 70 years old and owning the home for close to 40 years? Will taxes also be negated because the city will purchase the home and not an actual person? What kind of real estate taxes will she have to pay? Can you please give me a website that I can reference to obtain more information about this sale? My lawyer mentioned that since the sell of the home was over $250,000 my mother may not incur taxes but he told me to seek advice from an accountant. Can you please help us thank You!

I live in an apartment townhome community in Richmond City, VA. There have been a string of breakins all summer and yesterday the apartment next to mine had the door kicked down and the robber tried to rip the alarm out the wall. I am getting scared to live there period. Can you break your lease if you are afraid to live there, my current lease is up in January. Thanks for all responses.

I was in the hospital and I got sick but I'm out now and when I was in the hospital my cousin who has power of attorney for my Mother tried to sell my condo so now I want to make sure in future that he doesn't have access to the property to sell it because it is in both me and my Mothers name. I want to get her name removed from the deed I just want to know how I should go about this. My mother is 93 years old and she now lives in a nursing home and she has no clue what is going on so I just want to make sure that my property will be safe because there is a little bad blood between the cousin and I since he tried to sell my condo without consulting with me. So I just wanted to know how to go about this problem.

I am thinking about going to school to become a medical assistant. I have been in and out of crappy jobs for some time now and I'd like to do something that would at least give me some job stability. Is this profession a decent one? I'm not looking to be rich, just content and steadily employed. Would someone tell me some information about the in's and out's of medical assistants. Thanks for your answers.

I work in retail and most of us are friends. So as we work we chat, so long as it doesn't interfere with our jobs. Well lately I was asked to train a new employee, she has been pulled into the office three times by HR. Apparently she's been told that if she continues to allow me to talk to her (outside of training) we could both lose our jobs. However, no one has said anything to me.

It seems to me that if I'm the one causing the problem that they would talk to me. Am I incorrect in assuming this?

Also before anyone suggests it, both of us usually finish our work well before the rest of the groups; and during cashier training we both kept a 90% speed rating for cranking out customers.

I just don't get it
