A combined £600,000 IHT threshold for husband and wife or civil partners was already possible by effective tax planning.
There is no tax change there, only a punishment to those who paid for complex wills to be drawn up, which excluded me.
It seems to me that IHT is a regressive tax, rigourously collected, at a time when relatives are still grieving.
Surely, it is more civilised to levy and collect taxes from the living, allowing the more responsible, who prefer to save and provide for their offspring rather spend the kid's inheritance, the opportunity to do so. The tax uptake can be the same, but the latter option is inately more progressive.
Further, many individuals feel discriminated against by the existing IHT regulations. What about single people?
What about the increasing numbers of couples who decide to co-habit, and choose not to marry? What about individuals who were married and are now divorced? What about couples currently married who subsequently divorce?

I am student getting ready to graduate with a major in IT and had a job interview today with a large company and all went well but for some reason they emailed tonight wanting a couple more professional refrences and also asked if they could contact my current boss and my college advisor.

Does this mean that they are really thinking of giving me the position? I know they probably wouldn't go to all that time and trouble if they wasn't but I just really don't know what to make of it.

If a price of a bus pass from Alburquerque to Los Alamos is set at x dollars, a bus company takes in a monthly revenue of R(x) = 1.5x - 0.01x^2 (in thousands of dollars).
a) Estimate the change in revenue if the price rises from $50 to $53.
b) Suppose that x = 80. How will revenue be affected by a small increase in price? Explain using linear approximation

I make about $55k-65k a year, my husband stays home with our children because of our son's health needs. So we lost his income of about $30k I have a government job and okay insurance. However they didn't cover $50,000 of his medical expences over the past 2 years (we adopted him and had to pay OOP for the first 72 hours)

Now he needs a shot 1X a month and it's $8,500 a month and I pay $850 a month out of pocket. Plus $500 a month to my flew spending account (which was used up by feburary) and $410 on what I still own in birth expences.

We've been blessed enough to be able to get his bills down to about $18,000, but now with this shot we're going to go backward.
What should I do?
Can anyone help me here?
Is anyone willing to give me some counceling VIA e-mail so I can go into more detail... I'm desparate.

I was granted two credit cards when I was 17, being a 17 yr old I maxed both-ended up in collections. They're now paid, one was settled. Is it possible to have these account records removed from my credit report because I wasn't legally supposed to have them? Would it be benefitial to even remove it or would that take my scores down due to having less history?

I recently acquired a sum of argentine pesos from the late 70's to mid 80's. I looked at conversion rates and found a lot more money than I believe they are worth. Has there been some kind of change in currency that I am not aware of and they are actually worth less than current argentine pesos?
