I cant believe everyone has a job as a lot of people are whingeing about foreigners coming over here taking them etc etc or is it that they want to find namby pamby jobs where theres no effort needed. Well in a few minutes i have had 18 answers to this question. why do most of you assume its low paid ? or a crap job ? actually its a basic of 25k with free transport (car or van) plus other perks and commissions. i think its down to a lack of work ethic and unfortunately from replies so far i wud seem to be right

The problems with Sales jobs is the low basic pay, which makes it difficult to get a good lending multiple for you mortgage.

I know plenty of good sales account managers who are looking for work, but the terms have to be right.

Is that "coldcalling", I had a good job once
"very technical" but always the sales people
wanted to get in on the act "and would sell
your grandmother" or anything else you had
apart from their own.

Every salesman I have come across seems to
fit into this category which is :- they try and convince you
that "it is all out there" but it's you (oneself) that
they're targeting all the time.

And are you bullshiting as well?

As far as I know there is no British "work ethic"
apart from Norman Tebbit's dad who "got on his
bike", I think you might be mistaken for the sign
above the entrance to Auswitsz.

Sorry if you think I've got attitude but your question
certainly has.

It's not really the type of job that people aspire to is it? selling cold door to door really is trash innit? probably commission based and a bit flakey?

How about offering 10 k a year basic plus generous comms?

sales is not an easy job. personally the low basic wage and uncertainty of commission would be enough to put me off sales.

are you paying a regular weekly wage ? or is it all commission based, this could be the reason no one is applying - people need to know how much they will be taking home on a weekly basis

Sales work sucks. Plain and simple. There is a VERY small percentage of the population that is even any good at it.

a job is a job!!

a wage is a wage!!!

benefit scum off benefits!! now that sounds great!!

people should be physically forced into employment if they have no more a valid excuse as 'the wage is not good enough' or 'its not the kind of work I want to do'. I say 'get off your fat, lazy a*se and getting working, you lazy scum bags'.

Well they used to be in the pubs but now they sit outside smoking and filling the pavements with cigarette ends.
