Has anyone heard of Presidio/cm? I am trying to find a number for them cause I doubt that if I write then I will recieve an answer back, their nuber is not on my credit report, I have tried seaching them and only come up with message boards that have lots of negative things to say about them, and now thinking about it, the last time they checked my credit report was in 2005, and Providian which is the Origial creditor has recently checked so now I am wondering if they are even still an operating company right now? So if anyone has any info for me I would greatly appreciate your help, thank you!!?????

I just asked a question about rent. Maybe I wasn't very clear but here is my situation. I decided to rent out a room from a guy who had an extra room he built outside of his house for $600 a month. I was asked to first give a $300 deposit to save the room until it was available on 7/23. I gave him the deposit money which was in the month of June. I just decided (as of yesterday 7/29) that I was no longer going to move in. Is there any way I can get my deposit money back? I never even moved into the place.

I am a young professional with a small (but regular) income, minimal debt, (with bad credit), and regular monthly expenses. I have a 401k that I set up with ZERO guidance, and a small checking account I dip into for "emergencies"... I'd like to know where I stand with my personal budget and my future major purchases (home, vehicle). I am not sure where to go for helpful guidance that won't cost an arm and a leg... any thoughts?

I am seriously considering flipping homes:
1. What are somethings that I should think about when doing it?

2. How much do you think that it would cost to install a bathroom? I have seen some pretty nice houses that could sale for more if it had a second bathroom.

Here is my question. I was going to move out on my own into a room that was for rent and put down a $300.00 deposit that I had put down in June. I had to wait until the room was available which was on 7/23. He told me I needed to pay $300 more to hold the room until I move in in August (my move in date) so I paid him $600 all together. I decided that I did not want to move in anymore due to personal reasons. Anyways I asked if I could get my $300 deposit back and he refused to give it to me because I did not give him 30 days notice. It is not an apartment was going to rent, it was a room that was added onto his house. Is there anyway I can get my $300 back from him? I never even moved into the place.

I changed my name and I'm looking to move (out-of-state). How long, after I apply, will it take to receive my new social security card? Keep in mind that I didn't lose it. I'm doing it because I need the name changed.

I'm worried that I'll have to wait months to move out.

I am planning on buying a house and my lease is up august 31st. This will work fine for me but my apartment complex states in my lease they will need 60 days written notice if i plan to move out or i will go on a month to month lease for considerably more then i am paying now until the sixty days is up. So if i give them written notice tomorrow and move out august 31st when my six month lease ends can they come after me for the rent for the extra 30 days? And if they can come after me what will they do? Thanks

I am an Australian citizen living in the US, and have a 30,000 debt/bank loan in Australia, that I am trying to pay off every month - $500. I earn about 35,000US a year, which after tax etc... is not all that much. I also have a car loan, insurance, utilities and rent payments etc here. I end up with about 200 in disposable income a month, which is almost impossible to live off. I have tried to get a loan to transfer my debt from Australia to the US, in the hopes of lowering my payments/interest rate, but as i have alimited credit rating here this is basically impossible. I am considering filing for bankruptcy in Australia, but was wondering if anyone know the process and/or if this is possible, or if there are better solutions available. Debt management companies in australia won't help because i live here, and debt management companies here won't help because it's a foreign debt!

We are in a 12 month lease. In May, our landlord gave us a 30 day notice to move out. We told her she can't do that because we are on a lease. But we did say that we would start looking. Well, we found a place. If she tries to change her mind about us moving now, can we use her 30-day from May as official so that we won't be charged for the rest of the lease?
