I'm planning on buying a car off ebay with paypal. But before I bid, is this safe? Has anyone else done this? What other ways can you purchase a car off ebay? They buyer has not restricted payment method and I am planning to pay in cash. Is there a better method than paypal? Thanks.

Resident alien, will start work with a software for less than 4 months remainder of the year. My wife and children will still not be with me for the remainder of the year. Hi there, I'm looking at moving to NC under a H1B visa and just have a few questions about taxes, I'm British and I know our government robs us so I was wondering do you pay car tax? Council (local government) tax?,Tax if you're renting a property? TV licence? etc. and how much is it?

Also how much (roughly is income and sales tax (ours is 22% and 17.5% respectively)

I have about a month left to move my 401K from my previous employer to somewhere else. Since I am currently unemployed, should I roll it over to Fidelity or wait until I get a new job and roll it into their 401K plan?

Also, I have a traditional IRA right now and would it be more beneficial to roll it over there?

I'm confused and thank you in advance for your advice!

I have owned a condo for 2 years in San Diego and cannot keep up with the payment due to adjustable interest rate and the value has declined about 10%. Eventhough i have never missed and have any late payment, but I will stop making payment next month. I have talked to a realtor and asked him to list the house as shortsales. My question is should i let him start the process NOW, or wait for about 2 to 3 months after i stopped making the payments? I don't want to have buyers interupt on my family yet i want to give my realtor enough time to do his job. How many months of non-payments are we legally allowed until we get evicted???

After two years with them I find out the following: Ameriprise Financial Planner Advisors take plan fees from $200 - $1200 to "advise" clients to invest in financial products that yeild more profit for Ameriprise and not in the best interest of the client.

We made an offer on a property above the listed price, the only other offer was lower than ours, the property is being sold by a bankruptcy trustee, how can they not take our offer and want it listed still for a few more days? The offer was cash not contingent on financing.
