Jobhunting has shown me that many employers prefer one method over another? Is there a benefit (beyond overtime) to either? Specifically, this question is about being paid salary.

she signed a quit claim deed to me. The problem is hs estate was never closed and I have refinanced the house three times although the house was never legally mine. The title company never did a check in the title or if the did they ignored this issue. Do I have any legal recourse?

Hi,
My 7 and 10 year wait for my delinquent accounts and bankruptsy is finally over. I have NO credit now on my credit report. Everything has fallen off. Over the years we have learned how to live within our means and have paid cash for cars, appliances, etc. I am so used to paying up front for what I need, I really see no use in credit cards but applied for one to start rebuilding credit and was approved. From what I have read, I plan on using it monthly to make a small (gas, maybe) purchase and pay it off monthly. We need to get in a position to where we could purchase a house in the future. Any suggestions? Advice? Thanks!

Hi, I recently got married and added my husband to my health insurance through my employer, he decides he wants to stick with his employer health insurance and doesn't want mine. So I'm stuck with the premium and 1 health insurance while he has two health insurances, is he allowed to do that or will he be in trouble when it comes time to go to the hospital or doctor, etc.?

Would anyone of you expect actually higher salary for working company like Starbucks?

Yes, they offer excellent health insurance for part-time workers who work at least 20 h/week, but I am not sure if I will work there more than 1 month, unless I worked at another location closer to my school. So benefits does not much concern me .

Just Curious if anyone has had a problem with going on vacation overseas to visit their family when they submitted their request to their employer and if so what did you do? Did you appeal the denial?

I'm a food distributor and I would like to know if its appropriate to ask the following to current customers..

Is it appropriate to ask current customers the following:

"If there is anyone that you know that you think can use my services and products, I would love for you to either refer me to them or have you let them know about me and my contact information."

Is this appropriate and professional?

Any suggestions on how to tweak this statement - question?

Hi all,

I am expecting a lot of bad answers to this one but would appreciate it if you did not.

Simple fact - I work full time - got myself into trouble about 5 years ago and have never recovered. Whatever I do, I just can't get these debts to go. I've been through government help, looked at IVAs but no no avail. I have recently been offered a loan but that was for £8000 at 115% which is ridiculous. I would be willing to pay back at least £250 per month with a sensible amount of interest

I claim single 3 on my paycheck, and then claim married at the end of the year, but lately I'm working 12 to 15 hrs overtime and bringing home less money then when I have no overtime, so my question is should I change to married now and just not get back as much at tax time? Is there anything else I can do to see more of my paycheck? Thank you for your help.

I'm 20 years old making around $3,200/month and have $15,000 in the bank that I saved up while living with my parents. I currently have no debt, my credit score is perfect, my car has been paid for and I have no kids. Would I be able to afford a 200k-250k home in the Houston, TX or Sugar Land area? If so, what would be the best mortgage company to finance my home and for the best rate?

I'm looking to pay no more than $2000/month for mortgage, insurance, and taxes on the house together. Commercials like Ditech, Quicken Loans, and Lending Tree usually promise a $200,000 loan between $450 and $999 a month. Sounds pretty good, but my mom says it's unrealistic and that for the type of house that I want, I'd be paying well over $2000 a month for the mortgage alone aside from property taxes, utilities, etc.

Any advice?

I am due in February and my doctor told me he delivers at two hospitals and told me which one was the better one. He said I needed to get a quote from this hospital and then get a quote from every other hospital in town. Then, he said I could negotiate with them to get them to beat the best price. Does anyone know who I talk to in a hospital to do this and how I go about doing it? I got the quotes, it's the negotiating that is the problem. If I screw this up I don't have another chance. Yikes!

I have a delivery coming to my house from UPS and I also have a large box that needs to get shipped out via UPS. I already bought the postage online so its all paid for. I just need them to pick it up. With this particular box I can't schedule a pick up.

Do you think they would pick it up as they're dropping my box off?

I was just denied a $15,000 dollar small business loan from a local bank. I needed it to buy audio equipment to start a small DJ service business. It was denied because of lack of equity or collateral, and because I'm about $2000 in debt. (Note: I've been making monthly payments on all my debts.)

Would a personal loan be the better route? I don't have a full-time job, I just DJ for a local sound company, and regularly at bars around town, puting me at about $350 a week income. (because I just lost my day job.)

The reason I want a loan to buy my own audio equipment, is because if I was using my own, I'd be making at least three times as much---putting me at about $900-$1000 a week, at least. It doesn't even technically have to be made into a small business. I could just "work for myself."

SO---If I explain my plans and reasoning behind the personal loan request, and explain how I'm making payments on my debts.....How likely is it that I will be approved? What else should I do?
