Only YOU can sort out YOUR credit history.
To do so, first you need to get your Credit Report from the Credit Reference agencies (Experian etc) = they have to give you your report (but can charge a max. of £10, although I believe Experian only charge £5).
Next contact all the companies/persons listed against you and sort out what you owe them.
You need them to accept the smallest possible amount to pay off the debt. Some may have already written off the debt.
Once the debt is repaid (or written off), you then have to get them to register the debt as 'satisfied' with the Courts (if it was CCJ) AND tell the Credit Reference agencies.
Alternative = go to a cowboy 'Debt Repair' agency who will rip you off for money you don't have (don't worry, they can get you a loan at 60% p.a.) and either do nothing or use part of the loan to pay off your other debts (whilst keeping a 'commission' of 25% for themselves).
Some will attempt to commit fraud in your name by writing to the Courts claiming that a CCJ is 'invalid' and should be 'put aside'.
This sometimes works because big Companies are often too slow to object in time. Needless to say, months later when the big companies find out what's been done they can take you to court again, this time claiming their legal costs to re-instate the original CCJ, so you end up with 2 CCJ's against you....
Typical end resut of using a Credit Repair Agency == your Debts of £10,000 are all paid off with a new loan for £20,000 (at 60%+) ... and they will have done things in your name that will come back to bite you later ..

More and more employers are also looking for good credit scores when they screen candidates for jobs as well. Moving to a new location and need utilities? With a good credit score you will most likely get hooked up immediately. Those with bad credit may have trouble getting a telephone or internet connection installed or even having electricity turned on. You can start repairing your credit right now.Whether you are a recent graduate looking to purchase your first home, a college student trying to secure a credit card, or are simply looking to purchase a home or car but cannot secure a loan due to bad debt you can start your journey to good credit today.

The only good credit repair agency is one that does not exist! Credit repair services are BIG CON. They charge you exorbitant amounts of money to do something you can do yourself...FOR FREE!!
I am in the process of repairing my credit. I got my credit file from Experian (www.Experian.co.uk/creditreport) and contacted the companies direct to make repayment arrangements. The only cost to you is the £10 fee for the Certificate of Satisfaction, which you can request once each debt is repaid. Basically, the Certificate goes on your credit file and says that you have repaid the debt.
Hope this helps!

Follow these simple guidelines to help restore and improve your credit score in the UK.
First, make sure all the information on your credit report is accurate.
Second, try to pay off all or any accounts that are currently in collections or make payment arrangements with the creditor to pay off the balance monthly.
Third, any credit card that is over 50% of the available credit line should be paid down to under half of your total credit line. Your credit score is lowered when your available balance is over 50% of your total credit line.
Finally, if you have bad or no credit and have no credit cards try to obtain two credit cards and make sure all of your monthly payments are made on time. This will help increase your credit score. If you cannot be approved for a unsecured credit card, obtain a secured credit card.
Repairing your credit and improving your credit score is a slow process that takes time.

he BEST credit repair is to pay your bills on time
seriously - no -one can repair your credit history. you can check it is correct, but if it is then the only way to improve it is to make all payments on time. Heck I rebuilt mine with a guaranteed credit card, paid it off in full without fail, now I am getting offers every week - i was bankrupt in 2001, credit histories dont come much worse than that.
