My father knows a person who gave me his contact info at a big financial company. Question is do I sent him a generic cover letter saying thank you and telling him that he gave my father his name etc... Or do I send a cover letter but without specifying a position. I just list my skills and abilities and hope he finds a match. thank you

If I decide to convert my traditional IRA to a roth IRA what taxes will I owe on the conversion. Would I just be taxed on the earnings or would the entire amount be subject to income tax? Conversion amount would be about $25,000 and I am under 59 1/2. I am currently at the 25% tax bracket.

I will be paying off a large amount of credit card debt with a loan I received. Has anyone ever had any luck with asking the credit card company to agree to a "pay-off amount" that is lower then the card's current balance? We have been making the minimum payments on the cards so we are not accumulating late fees or appearing as a risk to default. The cards all have balances around $3,000.

My husband and I are very happy unless it is about money. He is a very even tempered man unless money is brought up. He makes more then I do but our bills are split right down the middle. I have paid our morgage and car payments late and they have reported on our credit. He is going to look up our credit rating soon because he was turned down for a credit increase. I don't know what to do I'm just sick about it. I'm not sure if I should tell him before he finds out? We have two small kids and I just never wanted them to witness us fighting over bills.

I can't remember my password. They won't accept the last four digits of my Social Security number (although they ask for it). I cannot dial 0 to contact a live person. They want me to choose from the options they give me, none of which apply..

I didn't file because I was working as a 100% commissioned rep, and I wasn't making much money and I got behind on my bills. I filed the last two years, but the Gov didn't indicate any wrong doings when I filed for 2005, and 2006. I'm concerned that I'll be audited for tax evasion can this happen? I'm also looking to get into law enforcement and i'm concerend that they will find this out during my background investigation. If I filed the last two years and I got no complaint from the Gov, then does that mean according to their records i didn't do anything wrong?

I am being transferred soon to the East Coast. I would be working in Morris Plains, NJ and would like to live in Eastern PA. My main focus is a very low crime city for my wife and small children to feel safe as I travel alot. I saw that Emmaus, PA was on the best cities list, which would be an hour away. Are there any other cities near that area you would suggest I look at? My ideal home price would be roughly 245K - 415K so I would like moderately upscale. Any help would be appreciated!

honestly don't know where to start. Here is my Vision.

I would like to build a shopping mall from the ground up. Not me in particular, but I would like to have one built and I want to be the owner.

I want to have all the normal stores like, Sears, KB TOYs, Radio Shack, etc. BUT I want to have some of my own store too that will benefit people.

Of course there would be separate floors for that.

I really don't know what that would be called, (Owning a Shopping Mall) Is that a Mall Developer?
What qualifications do you need to have in order to do something like this?
How do you get started?

I want to be able to have complete control of my Mall.

How would I get Sears and other stores like that to be part of my Mall? How does all this work?

Please help!

When I lived in a 1-bedroom $1050 a month apartment I never saw a cockroach, and in this apartment where I pay based on income I find a few cockroaches every day. So is it the management is spending less money on sanitary maintenance than more expensive apartments?

In your experience, have you find it necessary to avoid dressing fashionably, but conservatively and plainly, to be regarded professionally?

Countrywide said that the housing market won't recover until at least 2009.

Stocks lost major ground again--falling 311 points.

Many homeowners are facing reality in terms of higher interest rates, mortgage payments and a record number of home foreclosures--not to mention a glutton of unsold homes on the market.

Is this what Bush meant by a "home ownership society"?

Does anybody know exactly how much money can be made on the sites MyLot.com and helium.com? Half these sites are so confusing. They tell you all kind of stuff instead of plain English. My head is spinning from all these sites telling you all kind of stuff, but specific details, you know? Also, with PayPal, do you have to have a bank account or credit card to get paid through this?
