sometimes the post office will just leave a package at my door, other times ill need to sign when its virtually the same size or method or seller, in fact buying from the same seller once they left a package and this time they needed me to sign, what the heck?!

If it is insured for over $200 it will have to be signed for as well as if it is certified or registered.

If the parcel is the same as others previously left at your door...A different letter carrier may believe that it would not be safe to leave the package at your door, so left a PS3849 and took it back to the P.O.

Sometimes the sender requires a signature to be sure the person who gets the package is the person to whom it was sent. Usually you have to sign for the package if it was insured or has certain contents.
