When i was about 13 or 14 my mother took out a credit card. For the joint user, she put MY information down. She later called and changed it to my fathers information (we have same first and last name) and now they filed for bankruptcy 7 years later and THAT credit card is on MY report. I was a minor, and didn't give consent!! What can I do???

What can I do about this? He should have been more careful. I asked him before the closing for the final numbers but he said I'll see the details at the closing but that I was not paying for anything extra. He sends me the documentation and I see that I paid an extra sum that I shouldn't have paid. Is there anything I can do now to be refunded for that sum (around $600).

My boys father and I filed taxes on this house in 2006 but I did itemize my the house I just filed as renter and they found out he was not living here at this address as the owner. And he got the credit on his federal taxes for the house and now the city I live in has taken the homestead property taxes off for that year and they sent him a bill I took it down to him as soon as i got it and told him it needed to be paid and I gave him the letter of explaination of how it appeared and why they did it. And now he wants me to pay for it. but he is the one who got the money back on his federal not me. But if I do not pay it it will be in foreclosing for the taxes. I am not responsible for that tax bill my taxes are included in my mortgage payment along with my insurance.

I have been paid a portion of job costs up front to cover material cost. I pay taxes on these materials due to not having set up exempt status yet. Do I have to pay quarterly taxes on the amount spent on materials as they were already taxed? Do I deduct the material costs and pay taxes on that amount?

My roomate and I entered a year lease on 1/20/07 and my parents cosigned for us as we don't have good credit. However, there has been much conflict with my roomate to the point where I feel that the best thing to do is to get out of the lease. I would have to pay an extra grand as a penalty, but I don't have a problem with that. The problem is, can I break the lease with my roomate signed on the contract as the primary? What specifically can I do? If it is possible, what if she refuses to move? Is there a possibility of her damaging my parents' credit?

yea, they are taking out the MAXIMUM amount of taxes, and everyone else at my work filled out a form saying EXEMPT or somehting like that and i never got one of these forms, and i am only 16!!! so i know i can do that, and then when i asked them to see my reord they dotn even have my APP in there! but in everyone else they do.

I can't get a credit card, yes i tried the student ones and even department stores all have denied me. I can't even get a cell phone in my own name. I just turned 18 and i just don't know what i can do to get credit and suggestions?? and i also can't get anyone to cosigner for me they either don't want to sacrifice there credit or they have bad credit.

I'm a bit skeptical as they want you to send money before you can start. It's only $34.95 but still. It seems odd that you have to pay to work. I would love to try this out but want to know if anyone has had success with doing this. What kind of surveys are they? How do you get paid? Do you have to provide your social security number online?
