What's a nice 1 bedroom apartment in Kansas City, MO for $600-800/month?

I got a job downtown. I would like a place close to my job so I don't have a long commute. I was thinking midtown or somewhere close to the plaza. Any suggestions?

In most cities, you can get free apartment finder books. They're sometimes available in the display racks at hotels and restaurants. If you can't find one, call the chamber of commerce.
