Hi all,

I am expecting a lot of bad answers to this one but would appreciate it if you did not.

Simple fact - I work full time - got myself into trouble about 5 years ago and have never recovered. Whatever I do, I just can't get these debts to go. I've been through government help, looked at IVAs but no no avail. I have recently been offered a loan but that was for £8000 at 115% which is ridiculous. I would be willing to pay back at least £250 per month with a sensible amount of interest

please can i add that I am asking for this money in order to clear all debts - not to spend on anything else. If someone can gift the money, that would be great, but I hardly think that would ever happen!

I wish I could, but I'm in the same boat myself. Don't even think of paying that insane interest rate. I got mine sorted out with my bank so it's just one amount from one place. I'm going to change it to a "flexi-loan" so I can pay above the monthly limit because next year I'll be earning more. I've had this thing around my neck for 4 years now, but that's it - I have tried everything I could think of.
