No relationship. Your passport is used to prove your identity and citizenship. The social security number or federal tax ID# don't do either of those.

You do need to put your social security number on your application for a passport.

Your passport is for identification purposes when crossing international borders. A US passport also serves as proof of legal status to work in the US when completing the immigration forms when you first start a new job. It serves no other legal purpose.

For some purposes like Identity, passports can be used in place of other documents.

i dont know about your federal tax, but i am pretty sure you can use it the same way as your soc. def can use it in the same way you prove your age/etc through your license. (minus for the purpose of driving)
