I have had a small lawn service buisiness for 5 years. I started off with 8 customers I got 4 from going door to door in my neighborhood. but they were people I knew somewhat as an aquantance. I'm wondering how to get more work for myself, they're not telling anybody else about me, and I'm standing still for years now, only making $100.00 week mowing with push mower...I don't wan't to or can't afford to spend $30.00 on an add in the local newspaper, and don't really feel confortable with this door to door thing...what should I do?

I used to work there, and my paycheck was basically a joke! Wal-Mart is like the biggest company in the world....surely they can afford to pay their employees more! My friends that worked there that lived on their own were struggling so badly with kids, bills, rent, etc. and Wal-Mart doesn't give a sh-t its so unfair!!!! Why do they do this and why don't more people boycott Wal-Mart, or at least stop applying there until they raise their prices? Even though I shop there, I still think the quality of their merchandise is low....what can be done about this?

I want to buy stock and I don't have a lot of disposable income. So the little bit I put aside to invest i want to spread out over multiple stocks. My tax account and people always say I should never buy stock unless I am going to buy 100 shares? Is it really bad to buy 50 or 75 shares of something?

We have a 25 year mortgage which renews every 5 year term. What happens at renewal time? Do we have to re-qualify for the mortgage every term? Or does it automatically renew with the latest interest rate? We are not behind at all but our credit is not good like it used to be which worries us about our mortgage renewal coming up.

I'm a Psychology major that is looking to get into either management consulting or I/O Psychology. Is there a difference between the two? Personal tips, experience, etc. are very helpful! Unfortunarely, I do not have any experience in this field yet. Does my Psychology degree give me a good chance at landing a job in a consulting firm? What else is needed in order to prepare for such a career? Thanks!

I worked with a company for four years and decided to leave because there was no opportunity for personal development/promotion. I left without giving my two weeks, now I'm filling out resumes and am wondering if a voluntary resignation is the same as quiting. I imagine resigning like something you formally type out or a form you fill out after many many years with a company, most likely because of retirement. So is it the same thing or not?

My wife and I filed with HR Block last year. The preparer told us that if my wife, who makes about 35K contributed to a ROTH, we would get a bigger tax return. We forgot to contribute in the required timeframe. Now the $4K contribution we made to her ROTH shows as a 2007 contribution instead of 2006. BUT, I was told by another tax profesional that a ROTH is nondeductible so Its not a big deal and I just need to adjust my records. But Im pretty sure that claiming that $4K contribution gave us a bigger tax credit on our 06 return. We got about 600 back insted of owing 2-3 hundred without the contribution. What should we do???
Oh yeah, The IRS has NOT contacted us about this. I just know we made the contribution late and imagine its only a matter of time before they catch on.
