I live in Washington D.C with my parents right now. I am 24 years old, with good credit and make $50k a year. I am planning on buying a house in Frisco, TX. The houses I am looking at are between $120K - 160K. I don't have any other expenses besides my cellphone. My parents are not asking me to pay any bills so that I save up to buy the house. I have so far saved $20K.

After buying the house. I want to fix it up nicely while I am looking for a job and still working in DC. I will not move the same day I buy the house.

Question:
1) do you think I will be able to afford any kind of mortage?
2)Is it only people who make $70K or more that can afford houses?
3)Do you think it would be smart to make until I can make more money before buying a house?

Please tell me what you do think.

Currently, I am looking for a second job. I hope to get it soon. Maybe, as a waiter or a security guard. Right now I am a proposal analyst for a government contracting firm.

I have given my local housing benefits office my last two months statements, with the numbers blanked out, now they say this is not good enough.

I'm thinking of buying a small business - perhaps a UK newsagents for around £10,000 - £15,000. I've seen some for sale and the adverts explain the average weekly profit, but I was wondering how much extra I would need (or would be advisable) to save to get the business running smoothly in the early stages.

Effective managers need technical, human, and conceptual skills. Do all managers need these in the same mix? In other words, would some managers need more of one than of another? Why? Describe the managerial skills you think you need to develop to be an effective manager, and suggest how this might be done.

I am a temp right now and getting hired (finally) on Aug 13. But now that I know I am hired I've realized how bored I am with the job. I am challanged, dont get me wrong, but I am sick of the ride and just bored bored bored with doing the same tasks all the time. What can I do besides getting yet another new job?

I can't seem to stick anywhere (be it because I am a temp and the job ends or I just get sick of the place.) I am college educated and have a degree in Professional Writing, but there are no jobs in my degree where I live.

i have tesco's home insurance and have had to make a claim on my sofa, but i have lost the receipt and the company i got it from has gone into administration and is no longer operating as a business, plus the bank account i had at the time has been closed so i cannot provide a statement as proof of purchase. can the insurance company abandon my claim or do they have to proceed and either fix my sofa or give me money for a new one? also, there are screws sticking out of it which are a hazard to my son, i cant take them out because that would cause further damage to the sofa resulting in my claim being thrown in the bin. any ideas?

A few weeks ago, I had my home appraised by a licensed appraiser. When the appraisal arrived, the value given in the report was much less that the assessed value. I took the appraisal to the local assessor's office in the hope I could get my assessment lowered. The assessor said that the appraisal wasn't worth the paper it was sprinted on citing that it contained many factual errors, such as what homes were selling for in our area. The bottom lime is that I'm not getting any adjustments in my assessment. What are the chances of getting a refund on the appraisal? Is there any other way to get the assessment lowered?

Ive received a Postal order from an ebay member for a purchase made from me. I was going to post it but do I have to wait for it to clear like a cheque? Or do you pay it in and is credited straight away? I know I might sound stupid but Ive never received one before! Thanks

I am planning to start a small business on Yahoo Stores. I know that PayPal is fully compatible with it, but also wanted to know if Google Checkout is as well. By offering both, the customer will be satisfied by having several choices of payment.

There are 2 independent clauses that's why i added a comma after profits, but should there also be one after AND?

The price increases will lead to a loss in profits, and as a result, the company will lose its customers.
