I think it depends on the complex for the most part...but for me, My gas and electric come on one bill from the energy company and my water bill comes from the apartment complex themselves.

If it's a private home or duplex, it may be more likely that you'll pay a water bill. But ONLY if you are in an urban area! If you're in a rural area, you may be on a well/septic tank.

In an apartment, as one said, you must ask the landlord. It's possible that it will be included in your bill, however, with some people washing their cars and washing other people's cars, some landlords charge the water bill to the tenant.

Great idea for you to check in advance. It's especially important with regards to gas and electricity, because either of those will supply your heat and/or air conditioning. And comfort is important!

It really depends on where you live and the landlord. I'm an apartment manager in Los Angeles and typically water is paid for by the owner and the tenants pay for personal utility's. You can also find apartments where everything is included in the rent. Hope this helps you....... Good Luck,,,,,,,,,

If you are in California, you pay for everything, except "water". Keep in mind that the landlords can raise the rent to whatever amount they please(if you live in the USA), and the problems go on & on. If you can afford, the best option will be to buy a house or land.

Yes and no. It all depends on the apartment. Some places include all utilities. Some places don't include any. You have to ask.

Be sure to read the lease agreement completely before you sign. And ask questions about anything you don't understand.
