This is for who read it!!!! I was disappointed. I thought there would be more actions, more twists and more love story between Harry and Ginny and Ron and Hermione. The plot was a bit boring and I would have liked a bit more about Bill and his Licanthropy. Plus the American version is 120 pages more than the UK version. I mean that is lots of pages more and lots of more story and probably a bit more about Bill?
What do you think?

I know he quotes the end paragraph of 'The Raven' in the 'Vincent' poem, but is that because 'Vincent' is about Vincent Price and he liked E.A.P or does Tim actually like him too?

And which fictional characters do you identify with?
I like Snape from Harry Potter, Samantha from Sex and the City, and Ferris Bueller, Tyler Durden, Alyosha from The Brothers Karamazov.

I'm a little like a combo of Chandler from Friends, Albus Dumbledore, Elizabeth from Pride and Prejudice, Bart Simpson, Anita Blake, Miranda from Sex and the City, and Chloe O'Brien from 24 (hey, I'm blunt and it takes people at least a "season" to get me)

When Harry is pretending he is dead, and Voldemort is facing the angry Hogwartians, when the sorting hat falls from the window with the Gryffindeor sword inside it. My question is:
Who threw down the hat?
How was the Sword inside it. The Goblin took it in gringotts, and the fake was left in the Lestranges vault...?

I am not saying it's rubbish or anything, but don't you think the book was a bit too fast, harsh and small? This was the last book and JKR could have easily made it about a 1000 pages. It was as if she was in a hurry to finish the book. Hedwig, Harry's faithful owl is blasted and dead in the first 30-40 pages. MadEye, the BEST Auror of the Ministry is killed like a gibbon, virtually without a fight, by Voldemort. And in Hogwarts, Snape dies within 2 lines after being bitten by a snake (now that's outrageous to kill a prince like that!!) I was expecting him to die fighting Voldemort or Harry (in case he WAS bad). Lupin and Tonks die unnoticed, and JKR very cruelly rips apart the Weasley twins by cutting off George's ear and then killing Fred. And to add to all these, Voldemort dies without a fight, surrounded by his enemies like vultures surround a dead body. What's the use of describing a person as the darkest wizard if the only time he really shows his power is against Dumbledore in

I am currently reading Moby Dick and I am about half way through it and don't know if I can (or want to) finish it. I think I would rather pull out a tooth than finish, but all the reviews that I have read (including my wife's) say how great the book is so I want to finish. Does it get better in the second half? Or should I just cut my losses and rent one of the movie versions instead?

(SPOILER ALERT!!!)

Ok, so i just finished the last HP book and i am a little confused about a few things at the end:

1. What is the deal with Voldemort Killing Harry and then Harry Killing Voldemort - i mean, i understand that Harry can't die when voldemort is still alive, but at the same time, when volemort dies isn't harry supposed to die with him as well? 'one can't live while the other survives'? I understand that lily's protection is still in voldemorts blood but that protects voldemort than too, doesn't it? and didn't that expire anyways??? im majorly confused, even thou i re-read ending twice

2. how is malfoy the owner of the elder wand? he never stole it from dumbledore..? or am i missing something?

3. so you have to kill the last owner to be the true master of elder's wand, right? so how the hell is grindewald still alive in his prison and dumbledore is the new owner?; also, how did he win the duel if the elder wand was stronger than his own?

thanks!

So there’s this young couple. The girl who is 21’s name is Amy and the guy who’s 23 is named Paul. They’re in a great relationship and have been for 4 years and love each other so much. Paul receives the news that his father has died in the war. He is devastated, and decides that to honor his father he will join the army. Amy is totally against war, and is super upset about this. Paul joins the army, and after about a month he is killed in battle. Then a week later, Amy finds out she’s pregnant. She has to go through a battle herself, being pregnant without a man in her life. During her pregnancy, she meets a man who was wounded in the same battle as Paul and they become close. The man, let’s call him Brad, tells Amy what Paul’s final days were like. Brad tells Amy that Paul was even going to ask her to marry him.

What do you think of it? What should happen next?

I'm looking for a good novel to read. I'd prefer something without heavy romance. Something with suspense or mystery sounds good but that's not necessary. Just something good that you can think of.

Can you please also include what it was about?

Thanks!
