I've been working on a novel about a young man in college who is coping with being a werewolf and meeting his first girlfriend. His girlfriend finds out early on and is completely accepting of his "issue" and the two have a wonderful relationship. However, when it comes to their sex life, I refuse to "glorify" it, like you'd find in any other smutty romance. I intend for this to be marketed as "paranormal romance," but it's not smutty. When the sex scenes occur, it is very natural. The werewolf is a virgin, having not allowed himself to be with a girl before, afraid of telling people his secret. Instead of being "hot and steamy," the scenes are about two college students just trying to figure out what they like and how to go about it. Would this interest you, as a reader, or do you honestly just want the glorified smut? Can a book be romantic and talk about sex in a realistic and occasionally naive fashion, or must it be nothing but massive erections and steamy hot lady zones?

OK. I've read all of the Twilight books and they are my favorite books EVER! I love all of the action and romance.

My second favorite series is the Maximum Ride series, by James Patterson. They're so good!

Finally, my third favorite series is Harry Potter. You know how it is; they're just so good!

So what are some books that are kind of girly, they have romance, and are kind of popular? I don't want to be a dork who reads weird books. So, have any suggestions?

Oh yeah, and I don't really want to read any more vampire books. I'm really not into them. Please, make sure you have read at least 2 out of the 3 books that I mentioned. Thanks!

I've heard people say she copied the idea and blah blah blah. Personally, I think the Harry Potter series is brilliant. But a lot of people disagree and say it's a ripoff. What is your view on the matter? Discuss.

Well I have this great idea for a story.. Its a teen story that girls can relate to but the main character takes it to the extreem.. (its about unrequetted love sort of) anyways I've tried starting it three times but I just cant get it to go the way I want. Should I start an outline and write based on the outline? I already can picture all the characters and the setting but I just can't seem to write the prolouge and the beginning.

Quiet, angelic Rose Tallon, born as a commoner, is astounded when she becomes a chamber maid for Princess Elizabeth herself and is raised in the grandest palace in the world.
Headstrong, striking Julia Browning, born to a lady-in-waiting, has been dreaming about the moment she would be Elizabeth’s maid all her life.
Rose and Julia are best friends-and they intend on staying that way forever.
But as the two of them mature and blossom into stunning young women, they are suddenly catapulted into the lavish-and dangerous-world of English society. As their social status begins to rise, the competition for money, jewels, and men becomes increasingly manipulative and treacherous.
To the point of exploitation. To the point of betrayal.
To the point of murder.

This would be set in late 1600s England.

Okay, maybe I just came here to vent, but everytime I walk into a bookstore, it seems like my only choices of a read are books with titles like 'my shitty childhood,' 'woe is me, I had such a hard beginning,' and other such tales. Either that or so called self-penned celebrity bios', (and let's face it, anyone who pays attention to the small print will realise that Katie Price never contributed one word to her so called novels, isn't this worse than plaigarism?? At best, it makes her a liar. And why are the publishing houses shelling out millions in royalties to so called celebrities when for the most part, their books end in bargain bins for 50p?) Who actually buys this rubbish? Where have all the real books gone? You know, the ones where writers had something profound to say, or books that allowed for some adventure. I read books to escape real life for a little while, not be confronted by it. Anyone else feel me?

ok so i'm planning out a series. so far i have the first 3 chapters planned out of the first book. i started it like over a month ago. for 3 weeks already, i haven't touched it at all. or at least i open the document on MS Word, and i just can't seem to figure wat will happen next.

i tried going to the park on nice days, but i'd end up just watching other ppl so that can't be my muse. sometimes i do get inspired from my dreams (thats wat inspired me for this book and soon i decided i wanted it to be a series).

but now my dreams have nothing to do with wat i'm writing about.

so all i wanna kno is wats ur muse and other sources of inspiration?

this will really help me out. please help?

Who wrote them? When were they written? Were they written at the same time by the same person? Has any of the author's other works survived? Just curious.
